João Nunes da Silva nasceu em Lisboa. É fotógrafo de natureza freelancer há mais de 20 anos. Autor de quatro livros e de inúmeros artigos para imprensa especializada nacional e estrangeira de natureza e viagens, onde se incluem a National Geographic. Criou o banco de imagens Ilustranatur, especializado em fotografia de natureza, com um arquivo composto por milhares de imagens, não só de Portugal, mas também doutros locais do globo. Paralelamente à sua actividade de fotojornalista, tem efectuado inúmeros levanta- mentos fotográficos sobre património natural e histórico para diversas entidades. As suas fotografias têm igualmente sido utilizadas na promoção da natureza portuguesa em eventos no estrangeiro. Efectua nature photo tours sobre fotografia de natureza em diversas áreas naturais de Portugal.

(João Nunes da Silva was born in Lisbon. He has been a freelance nature photographer for over 20 years. He is the author of four books and numerous articles for national and international trade press on nature and travel, which includes National Geographic. He is the creator of Ilustranatur stock photos, specialized in nature photography, with an archive consisting of thousands of images, not only of Portugal, but also from other places of the globe. Along with his photojournalism activity, he has made numerous photographic surveys on natural and historical heritage for various entities. His photographs have also been used in the promotion of Portuguese nature in events abroad. He has performed nature photo tours on nature photography in several natural areas of Portugal.)
